Sugar Rum
is the accordion-bearing rambunctious love child of songwriter and ringleader, Melinda West.
Playing in the style of blues, tango, gypsy-jazz inspired original music, with Amy Winehouse-esque vocals and Stromae’s sizzling French-feeling grooves, she leads a spicy folk ensemble as a multi-instrumentalist.
Sugar Rum leads her show by switching between three instruments, from sultry accordion, to heart-pounding piano, to riff-squealing guitar.
